What To Bring

During your typical summer swim meet, you'll be outside on the pool grounds for about three or four hours. Some things to help you and your family get through the morning are:

Pop-Up Tents

If you have your own, feel free to bring it with you. Otherwise, there are plenty of families who would be happy to share their shelter with you. For home meets we will set up on the side closest to the front gate.

Folding Chairs

You will need to bring your own folding chairs. Lounge chairs are not available for home meets and are not guaranteed at away meets.

Sunblock

Don't Forget the Sunscreen!
Even on cloudy days, sunscreen is a must. While you may spend some time under a tent, much of the day will be on the pool deck—and the sun’s reflection off the water can intensify its effects. Be sure to apply (and reapply!) plenty of sunscreen to protect yourself and your swimmers throughout the day.

Food and Drink

Stay Hydrated and Fueled!
Swim meets can be long, and both athletes and families will need plenty of water and snacks to stay energized throughout the day. Swimmers often get hungry and thirsty after each event—so it’s smart to come prepared! If you’d rather not pack your own, feel free to stop by the Concession Stand for food and drinks. Just make sure to bring cash or payment options accepted by the host pool.

Cash

Don’t worry—the Concession Stand has you covered! Each meet offers a variety of food and drinks, so feel free to shop away. Your purchases help support our team through important fundraising efforts!

Swim Gear

Just to be on the safe side...

  • Towels (at least 2. More on cold days.)
  • Team (or equivalent) bathing suit
  • Swim cap
  • Goggles

Spirit Gear

Team t-shirt, temporary tattoos (we provide the tattoos for every meet)

Your Phone and/or Camera

You'll want to get some photos or videos of your swimmer. Please remember that CMSL regulations prohibit the use of phones and any photography or videography equipment behind the starting blocks. Also, be sure to download the SwimTopia app to keep up with the official meet results (as applicable).
