Coaches
I am in my fourth season as Head Swim Coach at WRC. In addition to leading the WRC team, I am also an assistant coach for McDaniel College and the Y of Central Maryland. I’ve been a lifelong swimmer, competing with the Eagles Swim Team from 2015–2019 before continuing at the collegiate level at Pfeiffer University. My favorite stroke is backstroke, and I’m passionate about helping swimmers grow both in and out of the pool.
My name is Sophie Long, and I am an incoming sophomore at the University of Delaware, where I am studying Human Relations Administration. I have been swimming since I was five years old and have continued to pursue this passion by being a member of the University of Delaware club swim team. This is my third year coaching, and I am excited to meet all the swimmers!
